The SERE School is a new two story, 34,286 square foot, LEED Certified building located within the Portsmouth Naval Shipyard in Kittery, Maine. It houses administrative, training, instructor, auditorium, storage, equipment, vehicle storage & maintenance and support spaces which provide DOD personnel with technical knowledge, practical experience, and personal confidence necessary for worldwide Survival, Evasion, Resistance and Escape (SERE).
The addition to existing Building 315 is a one story, 5,342 square foot addition to the Shipyard’s Bachelor Officer’s Quarters (BOQ) which provides berthing as an adjunct facility to support the SERE School mission. The building primarily houses berthing with additional necessary support spaces.
Joseph Bergin Architect P.C. provided architectural design services and construction documentation for the project, as well as contract administration services.
