The Port Operations Waterfront Administrative Facility is a new two story, 11,756 square foot, LEED Silver building located within the Marine Corps Support Facility, Blount Island, Jacksonville, Florida. It serves to consolidate the existing base operations in one location to improve efficiencies.
The project includes a climate-controlled office, operations and training building with a longshoremen area and parking for Government and POV vehicles and supporting facilities. The function of the facility is to provide administrative support for military cargo handling, container operations, ammunition operations, embarkation operations, contract operations, longshoremen, Military Sealift Command, Coast Guard and harbor security offices.
